ABOUT DR. MCHALE

Dr. Laura McHale (PsyD, CPsychol, ABC) is a leadership psychologist, executive coach, and author, and is the founder of Conduit Consultants Limited, an organizational consulting firm based in Hong Kong, and the creator of Neuro for Comms, a website offering neuroscience training for communicators. Prior to becoming a psychologist, Dr. McHale worked for over 15 years as a corporate communications executive in the banking industry, including senior roles in internal communications and executive speechwriting at Deutsche Bank and UBS. She is the author of the acclaimed new book — Neuroscience for Organizational Communication: A Guide for Communicators and Leaders (Palgrave Macmillan, 2022)

Dr. McHale has an accreditation in business communication (ABC) from the International Association of Business Communicators, and in 2015, PRWeek recognized her in their Global Power Book Asia.  She earned her doctorate (PsyD) in leadership psychology in 2019, with a concentration in the neuroscience of leadership. She also holds a master of international affairs from Columbia University. Dr. McHale is a Chartered Psychologist of the British Psychological Society, a member of the American Psychological Association, and an EMCC certified coach at the Senior Practitioner level. In 2020, Dr. McHale was appointed as a Visiting Scholar at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, lecturing in the master’s program in Public Policy, and she has lectured in the corporate communications master’s program at Chinese University of Hong Kong.
